Dannie + Clive, Lanwades Hall

When Dannie and Clive contacted me to plan their wedding, i knew two things; 1. that it would have a Halloween / Gothic theme and 2. that it would be a lot of fun! Dannie and Clive first met us when they attended the wedding of our oldest Groom to date (he was 98 years young at time of his wedding) and it was at that wedding that Dannie decided if she ever got married, that I would be planning it.

The couple chose Lanwades Hall near Newmarket as it was close to their Cambridgeshire home for family and guests alike and offered them the weekend getaway celebration they were looking for. Dannie is known for only ever wearing black so guests were shocked when she made her striking entrance in ivory albeit with the most amazing crown. Guests were treated to a sleight of hand artist during the drinks reception and were surprised to see there was also a Victorian Carousel and Vintage Dodgems waiting for them. Fortunately for the end of October the weather was incredibly mild and guests enjoyed the rides until the early hours. The dining hall looked sumptuous with the rich jewel Autumn colours set against the black linen and now Halloween wedding would be complete without skulls on the cake table!
