Emily & Greg – Rutland Water Tipi Wedding
Emily and Greg's wedding was a picturesque affair set against the stunning backdrop of Normanton Church on the shores of Rutland Water. A unique touch to their special day was Emily's profession as a wedding photographer, making it an honor for her to collaborate with another industry professional on their own wedding.
Guests were treated to a memorable journey across the water aboard the Rutland Belle, adding an element of charm and adventure to the festivities. After the heartfelt ceremony, everyone was transported back to the reception venue nestled in tipis on the North shore, where the celebrations continued in full swing.
However, Mother Nature had her own plans for the day, as the weather took center stage with a series of unexpected twists and turns. From sunshine to rain, hail, and even flooded tipis due to flash flooding in the morning, not to mention the gale force winds that had us taking wind speed reading throughout the day to report back to the tipi company with; the elements added an extra layer of excitement and unpredictability to the proceedings. Despite the challenges, Emily and Greg's love shone through, and their wedding day became a tale of resilience, laughter, and cherished memories amidst the beautiful but sometimes unpredictable setting of a reservoir.
In the end, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, showcasing the couple's ability to weather any storm together and emerge stronger in their union.
